Further special branding is placed on the heel tab and the navy-trimmed bottom tongue, while the top tongue presents a traditional Nike Sportswear strike. On the lateral side, it reads “The Classic/Fragment: sacai,” and on the medial side there’s a signature fragment design tooling code. Slab-like midsoles place white atop of navy, with the former jutting out well beyond the heel and featuring two black text hits. A crisp white is then used for primary accents, covering both Swooshes on each side while also hitting the heel tabs and the nylon tongues. A rich navy shade surely familiar to any fragment design fan is used across the entirety of the upper, from the mesh base to double-stacked suede details like mudguards, heel pieces, eyestays and laces. Fragment design’s Hiroshi Fujiwara has long had a keen eye for minimalistic, muted color schemes, and the “Blue Void” is no different.
